With November behind us, it is a good time to take a look at everything we have been up to over at the Uncut Gems Podcast, both the main stream of the show and the bonus set of recordings available on our Patreon!
Our 2024 Spike Lee retrospective inched ever closer to its inevitable conclusion this month. Only few recordings to complete Lee’s entire feature filmography! This month – which was timely as it turns out, because one of these recordings coincided with the immediate aftermath of the US election – we spoke about BlacKkKlansman on our Patreon and about Red Hook Summer and Da Sweet Blood of Jesus on the main show. From there, we embarked on a month-long escapade to investigate the professional partnership between Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham. Therefore, we talked about Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.
However, this isn’t everything either because this month we also happened to celebrate a little anniversary of the show, which officially clocked its 200th recording. To mark this occasion we gathered a great panel of friends of the show and we talked about the namesake of our podcast, the Safdie Brothers’ Uncut Gems!!!
